All Steel Swingout Doors/Weather Proof
HeyRay Containers feature all-steel swing doors that are completely sealed against weather and rodents. In contrast, PODS have roll-up doors that may not fully seal, potentially allowing rain and pests to damage your belongings. Additionally, swing doors don’t take up space inside the container. If items shift during transit in a POD, they can jam against the roll-up doors, making them difficult to open. Similarly, uHaul U-Boxes are made of plywood and are not fully sealed, which can also lead to damage from rain and rodents
Horizontal Delivery System
HeyRay Portable Storage uses a state-of-the-art Horizontal Delivery System to ensure your belongings are not shifted or damaged during delivery. We can deliver or pick up a container in as little as 5 minutes. For tight spaces, we also employ a remote-controlled forklift system that can fit our containers in areas just 8 feet wide and requires only 8.5 feet of height clearance.In contrast, PODS uses a boat-lift style horizontal delivery system called Podzilla. uHaul U-Boxes can be delivered on trailers or placed in your driveway using a forklift operated by uHaul.
20 Foot Containers Available
HeyRay Portable Storage offers large 20-foot and 16-foot containers, perfect for moving and renovation projects. The maximum size for a POD is 16 feet, while uHaul U-Boxes have a maximum capacity of 257 cubic feet. In comparison, our 16-foot containers provide 960 cubic feet of space, nearly three times the volume of uHaul U-Boxes. To achieve the same capacity with uHaul, customers would need to order multiple units at an additional cost.

All Steel Construction
HeyRay Portable Containers are constructed entirely of steel, including the roofs, providing superior durability. In contrast, most PODS use aluminum sheets over wood and feature translucent plastic roofs, making them vulnerable to weather and wind damage. U-Boxes, made of plywood, are not fully sealed and can allow rain and rodents to compromise your belongings.
